about me

This blog tells the tales of my travels over the last couple of decades. These travels have been transformative in many ways; changing my understanding of the world, politics and history, as well as myself.

Despite appearing otherwise, I’ve learned that I love to travel to remote and challenging places – even if I moan about it the whole time. That I’m much more of a hippy than I realised. That the worst experiences tend to make the best stories. That I will happily go to the toilet anywhere. That what we are taught in school is just a fraction of the whole, and is generally biased to make us look like the good guys. That when everything is stripped away, you can be happier than when you have everything.

I look forward to the next couple of decades, exploring the world further, but now with plenty of children in tow!
